She/Her

CEO of KatapultX and co-founder of Katapult Future Fest (KFF)

Ida Faldbakken is the CEO of KatapultX and co-founder of Katapult Future Fest (KFF). She is a strong advocate for social innovation events, believing in their ability to drive social, cultural, and systemic change through relationship building, knowledge sharing, and mutual exchange rather than through transactions. With a history, philosophy, and pedagogy background, she has successfully developed grassroots movements and communities over the last twenty years, led global teams, and positioned KFF as a leading institution in the impact investing space. Ida is a neurodivergent individual and a natural lateral and systemic thinker, combining creativity and analysis to develop and curate conference programs and experiences that promote in-depth exploration, bold and cross-disciplinary conversations, and non-traditional examinations of human connectivity through community-focused gatherings. Her interdisciplinary curatorial lens is a testament to a constant exploration of the intersection of humanities, art, culture, media, and technology studies. She is pursuing a Master’s in Screen Cultures at the University of Oslo, where she also guides the HumAIn Hub and explores questions such as: What assumptions and cultural imaginaries are inherent in AI narratives? How can the humanities engage with and re-imagine AI in innovative ways? Ida is deeply dedicated to examining how technology may contribute to human and planetary well-being but is also ethically and consistently curious about what it will require of 21st-century humanity.
