Faye Hobson is Director of Culture at Salzburg Global Seminar, where she leads the Culture Program Pillar. Her focus revolves around catalyzing cultural and leadership transformations to shape a more equitable and sustainable world. She designs, develops, and executes initiatives like the Arts and Society program series, the Public Policy New Voices Europe Fellowship, the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative, and the Cultural Innovators Forum.
At Salzburg Global, Faye plays a pivotal role in crafting infrastructure and artistic interventions that visualize Salzburg Global’s mission and values at Schloss Leopoldskron, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all guests. Her earlier tenure from 2017 to 2021 involved supporting the Education program portfolio.
Beyond Salzburg Global, Faye contributes significantly to global initiatives as an Advisor to “The World in 2050” think tank and a steering committee member for “Karanga: The Global Alliance for Social and Emotional Learning and Life Skills.” She also shares expertise as a Guest Lecturer at ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies), sharing her expertise on “The Future of Cultural Diplomacy”, and acts as a Mentor for the EU’s Cultural Relations Platform.
Before joining Salzburg Global, Faye honed her expertise for five years in the cultural and community sectors and in local government in Northern Ireland. Her academic background includes a bachelor’s in photography from Falmouth University, UK, and a diploma in management practice from the University of Ulster, UK. Faye commenced her Executive MBA studies in International Business at MCI: The Entrepreneurial School, Austria, in October 2022, earning the prestigious Jean-Claude Junker Scholarship for her commitment to promoting European Values.
